A Warm Welcome and Much-Needed Rest:
Upon my arrival, the LGU (Local Government Unit) of San Carlos City extended a warm welcome, providing transportation along with fellow judges from Bacolod City. After a long journey, I was grateful for the thoughtful arrangements made by the LGU, which included a comfortable hotel stay. With an hour to rest, I recharged before embarking on an adventure of color and culture.

I was pleasantly surprised by the progress and development that had taken place in the city. From accommodation options to charming restaurants, San Carlos City offered a pleasant blend of comfort and convenience. It was evident that the city took pride in providing a memorable experience for visitors.

The Festival’s First Impressions:
The first category of the festival featured an array of competitions, from festival queen costume to best in headdress, and even floral face painting. This presented the perfect opportunity to immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere, donning the colorful costumes for a unique photo opportunity. The attention to detail and creativity that went into these ensembles were truly awe-inspiring.

Judging the Street Dance Competition:
Following the morning festivities, we were shuttled to various destinations to judge the highly-anticipated street dance competition. The LGU had thoughtfully arranged an elevated platform for us judges, ensuring an optimal view of the talented performers. The synchronization, energy, and passion displayed by the dancers left an indelible mark on my memory.

Ritual Dance Competition and Awards Ceremony:
The day continued with a visit to the auditorium, where we witnessed the ritual dance competition.
