Last Friday morning, amid the hustle and bustle of preparing for our Mask exhibit at Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, my phone buzzed with messages. It was a gentle nudge, reminding me of our lunch at the beloved Apollo Restaurant Hilado Branch.

Apollo Restaurant isn’t just a dining spot; it’s a cornerstone of family gatherings and special occasions. Established in 1969, it has woven itself into the tapestry of Bacolod’s cultural heritage. I can still recall my college days when a visit to their Plaza Mart branch was a cherished ritual.
After a movie downtown, we’d often head to Apollo for their famous Lomi. The price was just right for students on a budget. Sadly, the downtown branch closed after Plaza Mart underwent renovations.
Patatim with Vegetables (P640): A culinary masterpiece, the meat was tender and flavorful, complemented by an array of fresh vegetables.

Stepping into the professional realm, I found solace in the unwavering presence of Apollo Restaurant. Whenever the office buzzed with events, it became second nature for us to reach out to the Hilado branch.
