Our dear friends Dr. CG Hisona and Mark Canieso invited me to dine out one fine day. Eager to make it a memorable experience, we asked our friend, the ever-charming Dr. Jojo Bayona, also known as Smiley Jo. With plans in place, we set off to explore Scarborough Seafood NGC, which had caught our attention for some time.
Savoring a cup of coffee at Kape Cartel, a charming establishment owned by Archie Valderrama. Joined by Mark Canieso and CG Gisona, as well as esteemed colleagues from the University of St. La Salle, including Sir Raymund Malapitan, John Francis Tupas, and myself. It’s a delightful gathering of friends and fellow educators.
On our way to Scarborough Seafood NGC, we discovered that our co-teacher and coffee enthusiast, Archimedes “Archie” Valderama, had a stall of his famous Café Cartel at the nearby Megaworld Upper East. It felt like fate had brought us all together. As luck would have it, two more esteemed colleagues from the University of St. La Salle Bacolod, Sir John Francis Tupas and Sir Raymund Malapitan, were enjoying coffee at Café Cartel. It was too good an opportunity to miss, so we joined them briefly, sharing laughter and stories, before continuing our culinary adventure.
