First I choose is masskara festival to go abroad Because it’s fun and it can make people smile And it attracts people to be happy And the person should not be sad all the time Must also be fun in life so masskara festival My choice.

And it was also called sinulog because of the movement of water By two step dance. People also need to watch it Because it’s fun to watch and fun for people.

The three Festival that i choose is,
    (1st-Cebu Sinolog Festival.)

    (2nd-Iloilo Dinagyang Festival.)

    (3rd-Bacolod Masskara Festival.)

This three festival are very famous in philippines and in other country.
-Cebu Sinolog Paying tribute to Sto. Niño, the birth of the Sinulog of Cebu, this festival was created on January 16 Sunday, and this festival happens every year. the same day as the Ati-Atihan of Kalibo. The unique way of dancing. This is due to the imitation of the movement of water current of locally known as “Sulog” of the Pahina River in cebu city.

    – Iloilo Dinagyang active On the 4th Sunday of January, just a week after the Ati-Atihan. the Dinagyang of Iloilo takes place. As a way of celebrating the Child Jesus christ , i experience this festival and so very “Sadya” the locals prepare a street dance, procession, costume competition & colorful parades.etc.

    – Bacolod Masskara is the one of the best festival. Because im a proud negrosanon this festival. Is different in others festivals because this is happens on October 08-19, and also different because this a
Is a competition and not like a sonulog & Dinagyang. and they not worship nothing or sto. Nino’s. This festival “sadya kaayo” i attend every year & so very dinas-ukanay.

*B* -What are you trait as a leader why you where chosen to do the task.

    – if im a leader i persue this festival because this is not only a festival to happy happy. This is a culture of every capital city. Like bacolod because this masskara festival are very famous in other places and soo many politicians and artist. Joined this festival.

*B* – the criteria i use is, I’ll choose all dancer to my group like Masskara Festival. Because this competition are very hardly because so many brgy. group, and in the end only one. choose of champion Pick in and the winner will be colorful and super catchy in the street dance.

  4. kelly L. Lavergas BSIT 3A-2

    A. I choose Kalibo’s Ati-atihan festival because it represents to religious festival by honor of the image of holy child or Infant Jesus during the procession and historical story of their town and their ancestors.
    B. Bacolod’s Masskara Festival I choose it to promote because of their happy vibes and colorful theme during the street dance and arena competition and gives smile and attraction to the audience especially to the tourist that visits bacolod during massakara .
    C. Baguio’s Panagbenga Festival because of their colorful theme and it represents to the history, traditions and values of Baguio and the Cordilleras.

If i were to be one a leader i would have to choose have the knowledge of making good decisions and have the knowledge of making a promotion. In choosing your groupo or team it should be associated with synergy and empowerment in a team so that it can overcome the tasks of promoting various festivals that should be good for the majority.

  5. In relation to the promotion of DIVERSITY, choose three festivals that you will promote and why?
    Sinulog Festival
-Sinulog is held in Cebu annually every 3rd or 4th Sunday of January. It is a held to commemorate and celebrate Santo Niño – the patron saint of Cebu. Cebuanos take time to attend each mass leading to the actual date of the celebration to show their faith and devotion to the Almighty Father and his son. Sinulog is the best way to introduce foreign visitors to an aspect of our religious culture. Additionally, entertainment is at its peak during Sinulog season – lots of bars are open hosting parties, there’s street dancing competitions, street parties, great food and more. One might say, you get the best of both worlds.
    Pahiyas Festival
-Pahiyas is held annually every 15 of May in Lucban, Quezon. This is a celebration for the year’s bountiful harvest and homage to San Isidro Labrador – the province’s patron saint. What are your traits as a LEADER why you were chosen to do the task?
I’d say, my most defining traits as a leader are resourcefulness, tenacity, and efficiency. As a leader, I can find resources for everything needed to complete the project that the team I’m with is working on. I am tenacious – whatever decision and ideas I have in mind, I always exercise into actions. I never give easily when met with obstacles. I am highly efficient – I always weigh each pros and cons, makes energy and cost effective action plans, and push through execution without sacrificing the quality of results. These are, in my opinion, the traits that others saw in me which made them decide on choosing me to lead them on each task/project.
What criteria will you use in selecting/choosing your TEAM.
Given that I am to lead a team for a project, I will certainly choose the best of the best to become part of my team. I want someone who is resourceful – someone who can help me find the things required to complete a task. They might need to be tech savvy in order to do that. I also value someone who is punctual – someone who has the sense of urgency to complete tasks way before the set deadline. I also need someone who has a strong sense of purpose and determination, someone who will not give up easily and will work with me in resolving any arising issues or problems. To summarize, my criteria in selecting team members are resourcefulness (tech savvy), punctuality, strong sense of purpose and determination.

    b. The traits that I think I have in being a leader are: First, good communication skill which will help me build a better relationship with people. Creating a smooth atmosphere of transaction and teamwork. Second, diversity or thinking differently. Accepting and knowing differences. Lastly, Knowing the culture. First i choose Cebu’s Sinulog festival for the religious and historical background, second is Davao’s Kadayawan festival and third is Baguio’s Panagbenga festival because that city is one of ky favorite go to places and i have been there plenty of times. I have been to plenty of festivals here and abroad and i can say that local festivals are very diverse in its purpose, be it religion, thanksgiving, celebration of wealth and bountiful harvest or a tribute to one of the best products of a given city. We have it all here in the Philippines and they are worth promoting to a much larger scale than what we usually see from previous festivals. If i would be a leader to promote any given local festival i would try and make it that it can compete on an international level as to further stimulate tourism and attract much more new tourists to our country.

    A. I choose Panagbenga festival because of it’s theme, the flowers. I always love to be in a place full of flowers. For me it symbolizes peace and love of nature. The festival must be very vibrant because of the lots of flowers surrounding the area and it’s fragrance. I also love Maskara festival because of it’s uniqueness in terms of smiling faces painted in every mask that the performers are wearing. The dances and the music on streets that make the watchers, be it locals or tourists enjoy the feast in Bacolod city. Sinulog festival is also one of the must see festival of the country. Cebu is getting it’s task done by putting lots of effort in a very successful yearly celebration of Sto. Niño. I would probably recommend these three festivals to all tourist who would want to travel here in the Philippines.

First I would choose Panagbenga festival, cause its colorful and I think every child in abroad will love it. Then I would choose Moriones festival, cause it reminds us the life of jesus during his time of sacrificing. And last is Ati-atihan festival, cause the paint of the dancers is black and its enjoyable and creative. And it’s very old festival of the philippines. And I think the Filipino abroad will miss this festivals.
