The COVID-19 Pandemic is affected by different facets of life and society for the past three months, and it persists to exist amidst us. Thus, everyone is doing their best to provide you, guests, and staff alike, with the best yet safest accommodations and services. With that, the Belmont Hotel Manila and Savoy Hotel Manila is with you, as the so-called “New Normal” becomes a part of everyone’s day-to-day routine. As the hotels plan to open their doors once again and be of service to all guests, rest assured that they are doing the best they can to give you the high-quality service and health safety precautions that you all deserve.
Avinash Menon, the Savoy Hotel Manila, and Belmont Hotel Manila – Area General Manager reiterated that the hotels are keeping in track with the government-released guidelines and strictly adhering to health safety protocols given by the Department of Health (DOH), World Health Organization (WHO), and all other top and credible scientific bodies. Both of the hotels have been regularly sanitized for the past months, and it shall continue until such time that the Pandemic subsides and until the virus poses health risks to everyone.

With these efforts, the launching of the #SafeStay-cation as our hotels’ topmost priority begins. To entirely turn this Safe Stay Vacation advocacy, a partnership with the Diversey was made. As a company that has created a name in the cleaning and sanitation industry, we believe that it will be of great help in keeping the hotel environments safe and healthy. The All-Day Dining, Fitness Center, Guest Rooms, Pool Area, and even the Employee WorkSpaces are all kept clean and tidy, ensuring that no hint of the virus will be able to penetrate. The advanced technology employed by Diversey makes all of us assured that the hotels would be ready to welcome all guests once again amidst the New Normal. As the #SafeStay-cation begins, a new set of health safety measures are also introduced. These will be observed strictly at all times, to ensure the wellness of every guest and staff.

Entrance Measures
• The Hotel Entrances will be using a Thermal scan machine.
• The Check-in and character process will be done while maintaining a safe distance (social distancing)
• There will be sanitation of the luggage.
Stay Measures
• Regular and scheduled disinfection of Guest Rooms, Public Areas, and other facilities will be done.
• Sanitation for the convenience of the guests will be available at all times.
• The use of other hotel amenities such as Gym and Pool will be closed until further notice. This is in adherence to the strict social distance protocol.
• The high-traffic areas in the hotel and the lobby will not allow any meetings and congregation. This is to prevent several numbers of people gathering in one area.
• The use of the elevators will be allowed but with compliance to strict social distancing.
• The Hotel Clinics will be open for 24-hours to provide immediate care to all guests and staff.

Staff Measures
• The Hotel Staff, especially those on the frontline, shall be wearing the PPEs, masks, and hand gloves to ensure there would be no direct contact. Rest assured that the staff was trained about hygiene and health protocols.
Dining measures
• There will only be Grab ‘n Go (take-out) and limited in-room dining (contactless and with compliance to social distancing) services until further notice. This is to ensure that there would still be no gathering of people in a common area. The kitchen and food preparation are also regularly disinfected and sanitized. More so, food deliveries from the outside shall be limited for safety precautions.

Sleeping Measures
• The high-frequency touchpoints (bathrooms, knobs, switches, telephones, and remote control) are thoroughly disinfected and sanitized every cleaning schedule.
• Housekeeping will be done every three days as scheduled or as requested by the guests.
• The bed linens and towels are disinfected and sanitized during the laundry process.
• Sanitizing kits will be part of the room amenities.
• There will be a “Safe Stay” clean seal places in guests’ rooms. This is to communicate that the room has been thoroughly disinfected and sanitized and has not been used nor accessed by anyone before the arrival of the room guests.
